
Have your say on the Silvertown Tunnel by 19th Dec
The Silvertown tunnel is a third and fourth Blackwall tunnel for East Greenwich residents. These river crossings are proposed by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to run from the Peninsula to Silvertown across the river. Transport for London (TfL) is currently holding a public consultation which closes on 19 December.The proposed tunnels will be big. They will more than double the capacity of the current two Blackwall tunnels. If built, their capacity will be much bigger


Anchor Iron Wharf Restaurant Plans
Some East Greenwich residents recently attended a meeting at The Cutty Sark Pub to hear about Young's intended plans for the restaurant at Anchor Iron Wharf. Residents came from Ballast Quay and from the apartments at Anchor Iron Wharf and were joined by a representative from Morden College’s property management company Ingelby Tice. The Greenwich Design Review Panel
On 5th November, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (Cabe) launched the Greenwich Design Review Panel (GDRP) to evaluate large-scale regeneration projects within the borough of Greenwich, including the Peninsula. The panel will include experts from the built environment such as architects, urban designers and planners, and it will operate independently to Greenwich council.
