Thames21 working to clear the Greenwich foreshore
Join EGRA and Thames21 for an evening session at Enderby House pub to look at the river projects Thames21 is running in and around Greenwich. This is a chance for you to hear directly from their team about how they manage habitats, support river health and work with communities.
What the session covers
You’ll get a clear overview of:
Current Thames21 projects on the Greenwich stretch of the Thames
How they monitor river health and habitat change
Recent issues affecting our area, including erosion, damaged river defences and loss of intertidal habitat
How residents can work with the team on future activities and evidence gathering
Opportunities for EGRA and Thames21 to partner on local improvements
There’s no practical work on the night. It’s a relaxed, informative session with space for questions and discussion.
Who it’s for
Anyone interested in the Thames, local environmental issues or the wider impacts of development on the riverside. No background knowledge needed.
Time and place
Date: Wednesday 21 January
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Enderby House pub, Enderby Wharf, SE10
Why it matters
Our section of the Thames faces ongoing pressure from new developments, ageing river infrastructure, and the missing links along the Thames Path. Understanding Thames21’s work helps you see what’s being done, what still needs attention and how local voices can shape better outcomes.
How to join
No need to book. Just turn up a few minutes before 7:30pm and head to the upstairs room at Enderby House.
