People's Parlour in full swing

EGRA dropped in to see how the People's Parlour project is unfolding. Mark our photographer captured the varied activities undertaken by local residents at this, the fourth week of this fun new initiative. People were enthusiastically learning about Lino cutting and printing, as well as drawing and embroidery. These sessions will run until early December, culminating in a spectacular lantern parade around East Greenwich's streets.

It's not too late to get involved, just come along on Thursday mornings at 10am to Rothbury Hall, it's easiest to use the Mauritius Rd entrance. There will be different activities every week.

Residents were clear that they did not just come just for the refreshments but the opportunity to learn new crafts, share their existing knowledge whilst making new friends.

To make this a permanent fixture EGRA will be working together with Emergency Exit Arts on a crowd funding campaign that will launch in early November.
